Lorraine Warren, the paranormal investigator whose work inspired the Conjuring Universe has passed away at age 92.

Her grandson, Chris McKinnell reported that she passed away quitely and peacefully in her bed. He also added she was ‘happy and laughing’ until the very end.

Lorraine and her husband, Ed, who passed away in 2006, were world-renowned paranormal hunters. Based on their work, 17 films in the Amityville Horror series and 5 in The Conjuring Universe were adapted.
