After a career spanning 33 years, Bollywood lyricist Sameer Anjan has now entered the Guinness Book of World Records for penning 3,524 songs in over 650 films.
He has received three Filmfare awards for Aashiqui, Deewana and Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke.
His most successful collaborations have been with Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan, and music composer duos, Aanand-Milind and Nadeem Shravan. A lot of the hits of Bollywood in the 1990s are due to Sameer’s contribution to the music industry.
