A quarry in Phule Nagar area of Bhiwandi town was recently the spot of a gruesome alleged murder. 28 year old Shivshankar S Bansode, along with some friends, had gone to the non operational quarry to fish in a pond. Surej Patil, relative of Dhiraj Patil, the owner, and two bodyguards mistook them for thieves and started flinging rocks at them. Bansode suffered serious head injuries and passed away.
