A man in Ajmer, Rajasthan, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly verbally and physically abusing his wife for not imitating porn stars, the Deccan Chronicle reported.
The couple, which had been married for 13 years, started experiencing trouble in their married lives when the husband bought himself a smartphone. He reportedly picked up the habit of downloading porn daily and trying to force her to imitate the adult performers.
She initially complied. But when she started feeling uncomfortable, she began resisting. The husband took offence and thrashed her regularly, which resulted in her being admitted in a local hospital and filing a police complaint.
The husband, who owns a cloth shop in the city, has been booked for domestic violence.
