Man Murders Wife. UP Panchayat Punishes Him By Beating Him With 10 Shoes

In a bizzare incident, a panchayat in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, has said that a man who is accused of murdering his wife, must be beaten up with 10 shoes as punishment. Yes, that’s it.

The panchayat has also warned the police to not to get involved in the matter, reports India Today.

The family members of the girl allege that when komal wanted to go to her maternal village on January 25, her husband Yogesh and brother-in-law Sanjeev tied her hands, beat her mercilessly, and set her ablaze.

Komal was admitted to a local hospital and transferred to a hospital in Delhi, where she succumbed to her injuries.

According to the police, they never received any complaint about such an incident and thus no case has been filed.

The victim’s family alleged that they are being threatened so they are not filing any case against Yogesh, but said that they wanted nothing but justice and that the panchayat’s decision was plain ridiculous.
