In shocking CCTV footage that has been released from a gym in Indore, a man assaulted a woman because she allegedly resisted his advances.
The man, wearing a sleeveless t-shirt, can be seen getting ready for exercise while another person adjusted weights for him.
After a few seconds, a woman appears behind him and says something, to which the man reacts by punching her in the face. As she slumps down in pain, he kicks her on the knee, before others near him rush over to restrain him, reports News 18.
A couple of men can be seen pulling the attacker aside, while the others attend to the girl. A case of molestation and assault has been registered against the man in the video.
The man, identified as Puneet Malviya, is a resident of Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur, who escaped after assaulting the woman. The woman had allegedly complained to the gym owners against his behaviour, especially the lewd comments he had made, which led to his violent outburst, reports India Today.
Meanwhile, gym trainer Ranit Sonane said that the accused escaped following the incident adding that the CCTV camera would help nab him.
