The BMC Insists This Matunga Skywalk In Bombay Is Safe

Pictures of the Matunga Road skywalk in Mumbai went viral on social media after a Twitter user posted several pictures warning about its safety.

After the tweet went viral, Western Railway wrote to the civic authorities calling for an inspection of the bridge.

Following this, BMC authorities replied that the pictures show a construction joint and the foot over-bridge was safe to use, reported TOI

Just last month, a foot over-bridge outside CSMT collapsed which killed 6 people and left several injured.
