Just yesterday, this kid from Mizoram went viral on social media for rushing a chicken to hospital with his pocket money.
Identified as Derek C Lalchhanhima from Sairang, the 6-year-old has now been rewarded by his school for his gesture.
The post was initially shared by Sanga Says, who told NDTV that it was Derek’s father who first told him about the incident and shared the picture with him.
“According to the father, the boy came home with the neighbour’s chick that he had accidentally killed. He did not understand that the chick is dead and begged his parents to take it to the hospital. His father told him to go himself, which he did with ten rupees.”
The nurse at the hospital clicked his picture which is now being widely shared online.
