Mob In Muzaffarnagar Attacks Police, Prevents Arrest Of Three Men Accused Of Cow Slaughter

Four personnel were injured in stone pelting and a police vehicle damaged when a mob attacked a police team that had come to arrest three persons on allegations of cow slaughter in the Khala Par locality in Kotwali police station area in Muzaffarngar today.

According to Circle Officer (CO) Tejbir Singh, an irate mob opposed the arrest and freed three of the accused by stone pelting.

Following the incident, security was tightened and additional police force deployed to keep the situation under control and ease tension.

The police have registered a case against 47 people in connection with the incident, officials said.
