A month after getting married to businessman Nitin Chawla, 25-year-old model Priyanka Kapoor has allegedly committed suicide in south Delhi’s Defence Colony. However, her family members have accused her husband of dowry harassment.
According to reports by NDTV, Priyanka died on March 25, but the body was not recovered before Saturday morning. Her husband Nitin Chawla owns several pubs in Delhi and a complaint of dowry death has been filed against him.
According to Dainik Bhaskar, the police have arrested Nitin Chawla and have recovered a two-page suicide note, in which Priyanka mentioned being beaten up and harassed by her husband.
