Bihar Court Orders FIR Against Sunny Deol, Mohalla Assi Makers For Hurting Religious Sentiments

There is no end to the troubles for Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s movie Mohalla Assi . A court in Bihar has directed the authorities to file an FIR against actor Sunny Deol, director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi and writer Kashinath Singh, saying their movie Mohalla Assi has hurt religious sentiments of people. An FIR was filed against Deol in June for the same reasons.

The court direction has come after a complaint was filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramchandra Prasad, after hearing the complaint case filed has directed police to file a first information report (FIR) against the three people and other actors who had roles in Mohalla Assi .

Earlier, Ojha had registered a complaint in the court that the film has violated moral ethics besides hurting the religious sentiments.

“The film has also shown Varanasi in poor light,” the complainant had said.
