Mulayam Singh Yadav Has A Month To Pay His Pending Rs 4 Lakh Power Bill

A surprise inspection done by the electricity officials at the residence of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has revealed that he has unpaid electricity bills worth Rs 4 lakh.

According to ANI, the inspection team found that the permissible limit of 5kW was being overused by at least eight times at his residence in Etawah.

The Samajwadi Party chief has now been given a month time to pay his pending dues. Officials have also changed the configuration of the power supply at his home to get 40 kW.

Yadav’s house is one of the biggest properties in the city with more than 12 rooms, a temperature-controlled swimming pool and elevators.

NDTV reports that Ashutosh Verma, an officer leading the team, said that they are conducting such raids to ensure that there is no power theft and they are able to recover long pending dues.
