Mumbai Woke Up To Radio Silence Today As All The Private FM Stations Were Off-Air

It wasn’t a good morning for radio buffs in Mumbai today. For hours, no private FM station was on air.

As per this website, it happened due to some technical glitch at the tower of All India Radio in Worli. “Due to technical issues regarding the transmission, all private FMs have stopped airing since morning. The issue had never happened before,” the website quoted the CEO of a radio station in Mumbai, without disclosing the name.

The stations and radio jockeys tweeted about it

By 1 pm, the problem seemed to be rectified, at least for some

Others, meanwhile, are offering their audience alternatives
