Nagaland CM Appeals For Help As Heavy Rains & Floods Lash The State

Incessant rains have been causing havoc in some parts of Nagaland since July. 

According to reports, 12 people have lost their lives and more than 3000 families have been displaced in around 400 villages.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio appealed to the Central government to help the flood affected state. 

Reportedly, the state government has also demanded ₹219 crore as immediate help from the Centre.

Unprecedented rains over the past few months have caused landslides and sinking zones, creating immense damage to life and property all over the state.
