Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Commentary Was Worse Than Mumbai Indians’ batting!

SW Staff

It was the first match of IPL 2016. Mumbai Indians, the defending champions, won the toss and elected to bat first but things went downhill pretty rapidly for them. The Mumbai Indians managed just 121-8 at the end of their 20 overs but when one considers that they were 68-7 at one point, their final total was a bit of an achievement.

In reply, the Rising Pune Supergiants barely broke a sweat. Ajinkya Rahane’s calm 66 helped them gain an easy victory with 32 balls to spare. At the end of the match, many of us should have been talking about what went wrong for the mighty MI against a Pune outfit that according to Mahendra Singh Dhoni barely even knew each other.

But thanks to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s ridiculous commentary, many MI fans may not even remember what happened.

He started trending almost as soon as he got on air and then never let go. It got so ridiculous that at one point he also resorted to calling BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur ‘chikna.’

Of course, given that this is Sidhu we are talking this wasn’t even close to his worst.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to his words of wisdom:
