Nigerian Woman Arrested For Allegedly Smuggling Cocaine Worth Rs 17.8 Crore

In a major haul, a Nigerian woman was arrested for allegedly smuggling cocaine worth Rs 17.8 crore from Sonauli area on Indo-Nepal border, police said on Thursday.

Veneeta (36) was arrested last night while she was coming from Nepal and 3.5 kilogram cocaine was recovered from her possession, Chandra Sekhar Azad, an NIA Inspector, said. The woman has been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, he said.
