Fugitive diamond merchant, Nirav Modi has been arrested in London.  He will be produced in the court later today.

A court in UK had issued a warrant for his arrest following the Enforcement Directorate’s request for his extradition.

After fleeing to the UK last year, the CBI made continuous efforts to extradite him from the country. The agency had issued a Red Corner Notice against Modi last year in June by making a request to the Interpol.

This news has come just a few weeks after Modi was spotted in London by a Telegraph journalist.
