‘No Casualties Yet’ At Everest Base Camp In Mt. Makalu Valley, A Climber Reports

Barun Valley is a Himalayan valley situated at the base of Mount Makalu in the Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal. After the devastating earthquake hit Nepal on Saturday, April 25, this valley felt tremors on Sunday, April 26 evening.

A camper at the base uploaded a video to inform everyone that they are all safe. Arjun Vajpai, who recorded the video says there are zero casualties. He also states they are planning on staying at the base for another few days before making the decision whether to continue their mission of climbing Mt. Makalu, the fifth highest mountain in the world, or to return home.
