Ferdinand & Savage On Why India Needs Someone To Do A Tendulkar In Football

Rio Ferdinand and Robbie Savage are usually seen talking about Premier League action on BT Sport – but Scoopwhoop decided to put them in the spot, quizzing them about Indian football.

Both Ferdinand and Savage played for Manchester United – and while the former enjoys legendary status at the club, the latter made his name playing for Leicester City, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers and Derby County. They were visiting IOT-Arsenal Soccer Schools in Delhi as part of their trip to India — training and interacting with kids in an event on Tuesday morning.

Ferdinand spoke passionately about what India needs to open the doors for their players to play in better leagues — speaking about that one big break that would make the country’s presence felt in European competition.
