Now RBI Says You Can Withdraw Upto Rs 10,000 From An ATM

The Reserve Bank of India on Monday increased the cash withdrawal limit to Rs 10,000 from Rs 4,500.

So with this how much cash can you access at a time? 

ATMs – Rs 10,000 per card in a day (raised from Rs 4,500 per card per day). Weekly withdrawal limit remains at Rs 24,000 

Current Accounts – Rs 1 lakh per week (raised from Rs 50,000 per day) 

Savings Accounts – Weekly withdrawal limit remains at Rs 24,000. You can withdraw as many times in a week as you want as long as you don’t cross the weekly limit.

State Bank of India Chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya recently said that the prevailing situation arising out of demonetisation will get normalised by end-February, emphasising the need to promote digitisation of economy. 

“We believe that the situation (arising out of demonetisation) will become totally normal by the end of February,” said Bhattacharya.
