A video showing a school teacher in Odisha making students clean her scooter is doing the rounds on social media. In the video, which was apparently taken on Wednesday, Sanjukta Majhi of Amantpur Project Upper Primary School under Baanarpaal Block in Angul district, is seen asking her students to wash her scooter.
The incident was recorded by a reporter on camera. When he asked the teacher if the students were washing the scooter as per her instruction, she said yes. She is then seen standing with a stick and asking the students to wash her scooter properly. The reporter then asked that when will the kids study if they are being made to wash scooter. The teacher replied that she will teach them later.
After the video went viral, the district education officer ordered the block education officer to initiate action against her. She was suspended on Thursday, reports Odisha TV.
