One Army Jawan, Two Terrorists Killed During A Gunbattle In J&K

An Army jawan and two militants were killed on Friday in a gunbattle between the security forces and terrorists in J&K’s Bandipora district. While the encounter is over, the combing operations are underway.

The encounter began early on Friday morning in the Manzpora area of Nahidkhai village in Bandipora. An Army spokesperson confirmed that two weapons and a grenade launcher have been recovered from the militants while their identity is yet to be ascertained, reports Indian Express.

Earlier on Tuesday, two terrorists were gunned down in the same district. Acting on specific intelligence input about presence of militants in Hajin village of Bandipora, security forces launched a search operation in the area. Notably, a cache of arms and freshly minted Rs 2,000 notes were later found on the mean.
