A 64 year old woman was killed and three others were injured when the SUV in which they were travelling fell into Chathe river, about 14-km from Nagaland.
The SUV was proceeding to Dimapur but the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down and fell into Chathe river on Wednesday, the police said.
The deceased has been identified as Alo, sister of former MLA Tarie Zeliang. The three injured were shifted to nearby hospital in Dimapur.
