The last year’s iPad Pro with a screen size of 12.9-inches was reportedly considered too large by many, reports NDTV. It also goes on to report that the reduction in the iPad’s screen size to 9.7-inches is an attempt to attract a bigger audience.

Here’s a hands-on video of the iPad Pro 9.7:

Price of Apple Watch slashed

The company also announced that it’s slashing the price of the Apple watch. The starting model is now priced at at $299 (roughly Rs. 20,500), which slightly cheaper than their earlier price of $349 (roughly Rs. 23,200), reports NDTV

New woven Nylon bands for Apple Watch

Apple also showed off new woven Nylon bands for their watch. The new straps ($49 each) come in two sizes and seven colors: gold/red, gold/royal blue, royal blue, pink, pearl, scuba blue, and black, reports Wired.

A new robot to recycle iPhones

Apple also unveiled a robotic system called Liam to take apart iPhones and recover valuable materials that can be recycled, such as silver and tungsten.

This is seen as a move to address criticism that Apple’s products, while sleek and seamless in design, are so tightly constructed that their components can be difficult to disassemble, refurbish and reuse.
