Not Just India, Pak Citizens Too Rooted For IAF Pilot’s Return Outside Lahore Press Club Yesterday

For Indians, there couldn’t be a better news than hearing about the return of IAF pilot  Abhinandan Varthaman from Pakistan Army’s custody.

The rising tensions between India and Pakistan had made the entire situation very grim, with many from the country echoing the government’s demand of Wing Commander’s immediate release.

However, we were not the only ones demanding for Abhinandan’s return. We were joined by some people across the border, who held protest outside Lahore Press Club and held slogans saying ‘we demand safe return of  Abhinandan Varthaman’.

It was while they were protesting that the Pak PM Imran Khan announced the release of Abhinandan, a move received euphorically in India.

Indians acknowledged this gesture, with many appreciating the neighbours for taking a stand in these tough times.

Humanity above everything else.
