Pakistan Envoy Caught Lying, Shows Photo Of A Gaza War Victim & Claims It’s From Kashmir

In a big embarrassment for Pakistan, its envoy to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi passed off a 2014 Gaza war victim’s photograph as an image of Indian atrocities at the UN General Assembly.

Responding to Sushma Swaraj’s ‘terrorism’ charge, Lodhi in the middle of a speech held up a photograph of an injured girl terming it as the face of “Indian democracy”.

She further termed India as the “mother of terrorism” in South Asia and accused India of sponsoring terrorism in various parts of Pakistan.

However, it later emerged that the wounded girl in the said photograph was not a Kashmiri. She was a 17-year-old Gazan named Rawya abu Jom, who had been injured during an airstrike by Israeli forces, according to this Guardian report.

The image was taken by Jerusalem-based award-winning photojournalist Heidi Levine when she was covering Gaza war in 2014.

Needless to say, Pakistan’s fraud was slammed on Twitter
