People Are Pointing Out The Irony As PM Modi Collects Plastic Waste In Plastic Bag While Plogging

Ira Shukla

Plastic is bad. It is also banned in Tamil Nadu.

So when PM Modi went for plogging along a coast in Mamallapuram, the irony of him collecting plastic in plastic wasn’t lost on people.

Obviously, the message he is giving out is much bigger but with all the resources at disposal, things could have been planned better.

There were other technical glitches, as well. For instance, the video starts with him walking on the beach all alone, picking up waste with bare hands. And then suddenly a plastic bag appears in his hand.

He later handed his ‘collection’ to the staff of hotel where he was presumably staying.

Anyhow, we hope this inspires people to follow his lead and not litter in public places.
