Television actor Pratyusha Banerjee, most famous for her role as Anandi in Balika Vadhu, allegedly committed suicide this morning, according to several news reports. Confirming the same to DNA, her best friend and TV actor Kamya Punjabi said, “I am not in the right frame of mind.” Pratyusha was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, where she was pronounced dead.
While there are no concrete details yet, it’s being said that Pratyusha hanged herself to death this morning because of certain issues in her personal life. She was dating Rahul Raj Singh and there were rumours about them getting married soon, but they was supposedly having problems in the relationship.
Last seen in the show Sasural Simar Ka, Pratyusha also participated in the reality show Bigg Boss in season seven. Earlier this year in January, she had alleged that four men posing as policemen had molested her.
