Punjab Police Sub-Inspector Opts For Same-Sex Marriage

A decorated 30-year-old Punjab police female sub-inspector married a woman in Jalandhar on Sunday.

According to Tribune, Manjit Kaur’s marriage was solemnised as per Hindu rituals and their pictures and videos went viral on social media soon after the ceremony.

India.com also reports that the wedding ceremony took place at Pucca Baugh in the presence of both families. Not only families, friends of both the women were also present at the wedding and gave their best blessings to the couple.  

Manjit Kaur was earlier posted at the Central Jail in Punjab, but was shifted to Kapurthala some weeks ago. The identity of her spouse is still unknown.
