If You Weren’t There For The Delhi Queer Pride Parade 2014, This Is What You Missed Out On

‘Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Isai… Hetero, Homo, bhai, bhai !’

‘Kaunsa kanoon sabse badtar? Teen sau satattar, teen sau satattar!’

When grinning faces shout these slogans around you, you can’t help but join in. Not only do you find yourself sloganeering, you also find yourself dancing, singing, hugging and quite simply, smiling.

This and more set the mood at the Delhi Queer Pride Parade 2014. The never before thousand member strong celebration of rainbow love that set out from Barakhamba Road-Tolstoy Road intersection, all the way to Jantar Mantar, did what they intended — expressed their ‘pride’.

Were you there?

If not, here’s something you definitely missed out on.
