This Man Gave Out Facebook Tips In An Ad. He Did Not Expect The Racist Comments That Hit Him

Vishavjit Singh is a cartoonist and the mastermind behind Sikh Captain America. He appears in a video ad for Facebook Tips on your timeline. You might have seen it.

Did you scroll down to the comments under the ad though? If you did, you probably encountered some really nasty racist ones.

It is rather ironic. For here is a man who believes in the need for a vigilante, being attacked in the worst possible racial manner, on the very platform that he was advertising.

Here is a sample of some of the horrid and misplaced racist comments that Vishavjit had to face.

Normal looking American, really? *slow clap*

Some tried to help Singh… by being racist.

Some finally got the point.

And there were the few who focused on what the video was about.

Here’s what Vishavjit Singh had to say.

If this doesn’t shame the racist haters on the internet, we don’t know what will.

Watch the ad that started it all.

Why is it so easy to spew venom over the internet? And why can’t a Sikh be the face of Facebook?

This world really needs some tolerance.
