‘RANDI’ To Bring Pakistan And China Closer. We Are Not Even Kidding

Chinese President Xi Jinping is in Islamabad on his maiden visit to boost strategic ties between the two nations. For the purpose of this visit a think tank has been created and it has been named ‘Research and Development International’ or RANDI . That’s right. While we snigger over their creative-disability or lack of knowledge of the Hindi word, Twitterati , including Fatima Bhutto, has reacted.

For the uninitiated this is what it means:

“The new think tank is the first joint initiative of China and Pakistan which will be dedicated to research on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,” said Senator Mushahid Hussain, RANDI co-chairperson, according to a press statement issued by the Islamabad office of Pakistan China Institute.
