While a few months ago, we were all up in arms against police brutality in the US following the murder of George Floyd, we have been eerily quiet about the systematic oppression of Dalits in our own country. 4 Dalit women are raped every day here and we barely even hear about it. And sometimes when we do, like about Hathras, we want to remove the ‘caste angle’ out of it.
