Rocket Launcher Among Arms Seized In Massive Raids Carried Out By French Authorities

As Paris recovers from the devastating terrorist attacks in the city on Friday , the French government is going all out to catch those responsible for them. As French forces carried out air strikes on ISIS headquarters in Syria, authorities raided houses of 110 suspected extremists, and the discoveries are shocking .

Reports say that the raids have led to five arrests and a huge stock of arms has been seized, including combat gear, a Kalashnikov and a rocket launcher, indicating that more massive attacks might have been planned.

One of these searches, in the Paris suburb of Bobigny, was part of the judicial investigation into the attacks at a football stadium, bars and a concert hall and where at least 129 people died.

French media said police also raided houses in Toulouse, Grenoble and Bobigny.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said, “We are making use of the legal framework of the state of emergency to question people who are part of the radical jihadist movement…and all those who advocate hate of the republic.”

Although French authorities have declared an emergency, and nationwide raids are being carried out, France remains tense as one of the suspects is still at large.
