CJI Ranjan Gogoi Gets Clean Chit In Sexual Harassment Case, SC Panel Calls Charges Baseless

A three-judge Supreme Court panel investigating the allegations of sexual harassment against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has dismissed all the charges against him.

According to the report submitted by the in-house committee, no substance has been found in the allegations made by the victim. 

As per rules, the committee is not obliged to make the report public.

CJI Gogoi was accused of sexual harassment by a former Supreme Court employee, following which an internal committee was set up to investigate the charges. The staffer later opted out of the probe,

Earlier, Gogoi had denied all allegations against him and claimed that it was a larger conspiracy against the judiciary.
