Senior RSS Leader In Punjab Shot Dead By Unknown Assailants In Ludhiana

A senior RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) leader in Punjab was shot dead by two unidentified assailants near his house in Ludhiana on Tuesday. The incident happened at around 7:20 am in the morning when the 58-year-old Ravinder Gosai was killed after he came out with his pet dog. 

According to a report by the Hindustan Times, Gosain was the chief of the Raghunath Nagar Mohan Shakha of RSS Ludhiana. He was also an office bearer of the district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit.

Gosain suffered two bullet injuries, one on his head and other on his shoulder. He died on the spot. The attackers who came in a motorbike fled from the scene after killing him. An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons at Basti Jodhewal police station. A police investigation has been launched, reports Indian Express.

In August last year, RSS Punjab Seh Sanghchalak (second-in-command), Brigadier (retd) Jagdish Gagneja was shot by motorcycle-borne assailants inn Ludhiana. He later died after 43 days in hospital.
