Seven Times India’s Friendly Handshake Was Betrayed By Pakistan

Tensions and confrontations have marked the relationship between India and Pakistan since 1947 and while there have been a series of attempts to bridge the gaps and ensure peace on both sides, efforts to sabotage the peace efforts have turned hard-earned bonhomie into a deadly spiral of animosity within hours. It’s in the background of similar history that recent surprise visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pakistan aimed at solving the pending issues between the two neighbours, was followed by a deadly attack on Indian Air Force base in Pathankot.
