Several Killed In Storms Across The Country As Weather Wreaks Havoc

Several people were killed across various parts of the country due to thunderstorms and lightning sweeping through India. According to the Hindustan Times, 9 people were killed in West Bengal while another 9 were killed across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The weather also affected life in the capital as flights were diverted from Delhi Airport, and Delhi Metro services were also hampered.

As reported by NDTV, the Met Office has predicted thunderstorms are expected across the North and Eastern parts of India for the next 48 to 72 hours.

Last week, the Met office predicted a huge storm across 13 states, however the storm’s intensity was far lower than predicted.
