Shankar Mahadevan Suffers Heart Attack, Undergoes Angioplasty At Delhi Hospital

Eminent Singer and music composer Shankar Mahadevan suffered a heart attack on Sunday, December 6. The 48-year-old musician was admitted to a Delhi hospital last week after he complained of chest pain.

According to reports , he has suffered back-to-back heart attacks but currently he is stable. He also tweeted about his health status.

His son Siddharth said, “It was mainly due to exhaustion. Dad underwent angioplasty on the first day itself when he was hospitalised. Thankfully, there weren’t any major blockages. He is recuperating well and the doctors said he would be discharged within a day or two,” reports The Times of India .

“I will be singing till my last breath. Probably people would ask who is this old man singing, turn it off. But, I will keep on singing,” Mahadevan had said at a concert last month.

Mahadevan’s concert in Mumbai and Rajkot has been cancelled because of his health status.
