Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award this year. The award is India’s highest honour in cinema.
The dimpled-actor is famous for an illutrious acting career that has spanned over five decades and includes movies like Deewar, Shaan, Chor Machaye Shor, Kabhie Kabhie, Ajooba and many more.
Shashi Kapoor won the National Award thrice and received the Padma Bhushan in 2011. The recipient of this prestigious award last year was lyricist-director Gulzar.
