Smriti Irani Directs All Central Universities To Hoist Giant National Flag, And This Is How Twitter Reacted

The Ministry of HRD has issued a direction to every central government-run university that it must have the tricolour atop a 207-feet high mast that weighs 135 kg. 

The motive behind this is to signify a strong and united India as per the Ministry of HRD.

This move is possibly in reaction to the Rohit Vemula suicide row in Hyderabad University last month and the ongoing Jawaharlal Nehru University controversy.
