17-Year-Old Boy Dies In A ‘Friendly’ Street Wrestling Match In Hyderabad

A 17-year-old boy lost his life after participating in a street wrestling match in the old city area of Hyderabad on May 3.

The fight that was started between the deceased and another young man got serious as the minor received repeated blows on his head, following which he collapsed on the road. The onlookers who were busy making videos of the match, decided to pass it off as a bike accident.

Days after the boy’s funeral, his father sensed something fishy and lodged an FIR with the police. Soon, a video capturing the wrestle got released from an unknown source and the police arrested three men involved in the incident.

As per reports, such WWE-styled wrestling matches are quite common in that area during the weekends.

NDTV uploaded a footage which clearly shows how the boy died on the spot.
