Student Commits Suicide In Kota, Leaves A Note Blaming Study Pressure

A student preparing for competitive exams has committed suicide in Kota, Rajasthan. Anson Anil Kumar, enrolled in Allen Institute, was a resident of Kerala.

In his suicide note, Kumar mentioned that he couldn’t handle the extreme study pressure.

Unfortunately, this is not the first case of a student committing suicide in Kota. Till date, 31 students have taken this drastic step because they have been unable to cope with the study workload.

Known as the coaching hub for engineering and medical exams, Kota attracts thousands of students every year, who take admission in different institutes. They pay between Rs 50,000 and a lakh as annual tuition. Unfortunately, some of them can’t handle the extreme pressure and end up taking their own lives.
