Students are known to go to any lengths just to score well in their board exams. And now we have students from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh who are migrating to Uttar Pradesh for the same reason.
How? Because there is a wide scope of cheating and malpractices in the UP board.
Students appearing for board examinations for the 2016-17 session are now shifting to Uttar Pradesh and are joining under UP board schools, says a report by The Times of India.
According to education officials, more than 4,000 such students have moved to Agra alone with the overall number being much higher. The report says that there is nexus of a cheating mafia and a few UP board-affiliated private colleges located in interiors of the district. They provide the students a chance to cheat in the exams on the payment of Rs 15,000-20,000.

Officials from the education department in the district are now verifying files of suspicious candidates and have upgraded their software to check malware online.
In March this year, hundreds of students from Uttar Pradesh Board were caught copying openly during the board exams in Mathura. 57 students and 14 teachers were booked for cheating after a video showing the incident went viral, reports India Today.
