After a string of attacks against Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Raghuram Rajan, Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramaniam and Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Subramanian Swamy has now decided to take a ‘break’ from Twitter.

The Rajya Sabha MP, who is also known for not mincing his words, will now be posting less on Twitter.

Here is what he tweeted on Friday:

The move comes after he was advised by the party to ‘go slow’ so that the BJP-headed NDA government can positively celebrate the achievements of its two years in power, reports Indian Express.

However, before announcing that he will off Twitter for some time, he came out with a string of tweets on the very same day:

Here are some of them:

On the Dhaka terror attack:

An indirect attack on Arun Jaitley:

An attack on the media:

And another tweet about the Dhaka attack on Saturday:

And then again:

A few days ago, BJP had cancelled two public events where Swamy was about to speak. The move came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a TV interview said that “anyone who believes he is bigger than the system is wrong”.
