Suspecting Her Of Infidelity, Delhi Man Brutally Stabs Wife To Death In Front Of Son

In a gruesome incident, a 43-year-old man allegedly stabbed his wife to death because he suspected her of having an extra-marital affair. The incident happened on Wednesday in north east Delhi’s Dilshad Garden where the accused Vinod Bisht stabbed his wife Rekha (36) more than 35 times.  

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the victim suffered 11 major knife wounds, besides several other injuries due to which she died on the spot. Their 15-year-old son who tried to intervene was also attacked. He is now recuperating at a government hospital. 

Police officials say that the accused suspected that his wife was an extra-marital affair due to which the couple would often fight. According to a report by The Hindu, the accused had reservations with his wife talking to a man. However, she kept communicating with him despite her husband’s strong disapproval. The accused then told his wife to either divorce him or stop talking to the other man. But she didn’t listen to him following which a rift was created between the two.

The incident happened on Wednesday at 5:30 am in the morning. The couple’s elder son, who was sleeping the in the house when the crime happened, is the sole witness to the crime. Their younger son was staying at his grandparents’ house at the time of the incident. 

The victim was taken to Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital where she was declared brought-dead. The accused, who works in a private catering company, was arrested in the evening by the police.
