Teenager Tries To Take Selfie With Gun In Punjab, Ends Up Shooting Himself

The not so smart craze for selfies has resulted in many dying while attempting to take eye-catching photos. In one such case, a 14-year-old from Punjab was seriously injured while clicking a selfie with a gun.

The class X student, identified as Ramandeep, was alone with his sister in his Pathankot home as his family was away. He was attempting to take a selfie with his father’s licensed revolver, but ended up accidentally pulling the trigger. The bullet hit his head, reported Amar Ujala .

Ramandeep was taken to a hospital and his parents were informed of the incident. He is said to be in a critical condition and a police official said the bullet is lodged in the boy’s head.

The police are meanwhile investigating if this was an accident or an attempted suicide.
