In yet another shocking case of murder over a petty matter, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death by five teenagers after a heated argument over a seat in the Dehi Metro. The incident happened in North Delhi’s Kingsway Camp area on Thursday, September 17, where the deceased, Ishu, a class XI student of Sarvodaya School, Kashmere Gate, was killed by five other juveniles.
At around 1 pm on Thursday, Ishu and two of his friends deboarded the metro at GTB Nagar station. He was there confronted by five juveniles soon after which a fight started. The juveniles all aged between 16 and 17 were from a rival school group. They held a grudge over a fight which had taken place the previous day in connection with a seat in the metro train. They fled the scene after stabbing Ishu multiple times after which he collapsed. He was taken to a Bara Hindu Rao Hospital by locals where he succumbed to his injuries at midnight.
The police have registered a case under (Section 302) (muder) of IPC, said DCP (North) Madhur Verma. The weapon used in the crime has been recovered.
Delhi’s infamous murderous rage over petty issues has been one of the major reasons behind its increasing crime charts. The fact that all the accused were juveniles in this case has shocked the authorities even more.
