That’s Not Activism: Barack Obama Calls Out ‘Woke Cancel Culture’ & Twitter Loves Him For It

Former US President Barack Obama is not only one of the most influential leaders of our time, but also one of the most well-respected. And recently, at the Obama Foundation Summit, he just gave the world another reason to love and respect him. 

During a speech, he called out the ‘woke cancel culture’ prevalent on social media and shared that expecting people to be infallible is unjustified. 

This idea of purity, and you’re never compromised, and you’re politically woke, and all that stuff — you should get over that quickly.

He also talked about how, what the youth of today considers activism, is actually just a form of ‘casting stones’.

Twitter was quick to support his statements and appreciate his logical reasoning in calling out the ‘cancel’ culture:
