According to IG (EOU) JS Gangwar, Divyanshu, a student of Patna Sahib Engineering College, had good knowledge of computer operations and social networking sites. “He hacked the Facebook page twice on March 8 and 11 and posted objectionable comments on it,” he added.

Investigations in the case have revealed that some of the posts put up by Divyanshu had a “communal tinge.”

During the interrogation, Bihar police has also found that the SIM card used by the accused to hack the account was issued on the name of one Vijay Singh, who lives in Saudi Arabia.

Divyanshu has been sent to judicial custody.

After the posts had appeared on his page, Lalu Prasad’s son and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav had removed the malicious contents from the homepage and lodged an FIR with the Sachivalaya police station in Patna, the report added.
